The Parse File button allows the user to select a TyStream (.ty) or Multiplex (.VOB or .MPG) file already on the PC and split it into separate audio and video streams. The audio / video synchronization information embedded in the stream is lost in the new files (although of course it remains in the original file). This mode can be useful for content authoring or audio editing. This button is functionally identical to the Split File(s) option in the File pull down menu. |
